Cookies
This page explains what cookies are, which ones this site may use, and how you can accept or reject optional cookies.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember preferences or understand how pages are used.
How we use cookies
Essential cookies make basic functions work, including remembering your cookie preference so the banner does not reappear every visit. Analytics cookies, used only if you accept, help us see aggregate traffic patterns. Rejecting optional cookies does not block browsing, forms, or reading engagement content.
Cookies table
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|
| digitaltoolkitnetwork_cookie_consent | Stores Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner | 1 year (localStorage) | Digitaltoolkitnetwork |
| _ga | Analytics — distinguish visitors (only if accepted) | Up to 2 years | Google Analytics (if enabled) |
| _gid | Analytics — short-term visitor distinction (only if accepted) | 24 hours | Google Analytics (if enabled) |
Managing cookies
Use Accept or Reject on the banner when it appears. To change later, clear site data for digitaltoolkitnetwork.digital in your browser, then reload the page to see the banner again. You can also block cookies in browser settings; essential preference storage may then reset each visit.
Third-party cookies
If analytics is enabled after acceptance, third-party providers may set cookies subject to their own policies. Embedded fonts from Google Fonts are typically requested without advertising cookies; network requests still occur to load typefaces.
Impact of disabling
Disabling optional analytics does not remove access to engagement descriptions, fee guidance, or the contact form. Disabling all cookies may cause the consent banner to reappear more often.
